“I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.”
-Jorge Luis Borges
+ One of the best things about living in Charlotte is the city’s amazing network of public libraries.
We visit one of three local branches nearly every week: to stack up on new bedtime books, play with the community toys, and take on the challenge of the Scavenger Hunts.
Today, though, we stopped to pick up a friend, and ventured uptown for the Día Finale festival at the ImaginOn Children’s Library. It was such a fabulous event!
In front of the building, we were greeted by Bubble World by Ross – soap bubbles FTW!!! Then the boys played in a replica VW bus, made origami bookmarks at the Arts & Crafts tables, and spent a few glorious hours enjoying the various activity stations throughout the library’s play areas.

…I confess, this mama’s heart soared when R declared today to be the Best Day Ever!!
Note: his previous ‘best day ever’ was the Carnival event at the Independence library three weeks ago … so we might be on to something here! Sending an extra-big thank you to the librarians at Independence for recommending today’s Día celebration!
